Pamela's Weekly Wine Pick

Candice and I recently toured the valley wineries and one of my favourite wines this August was Silkscarf’s 2008 Shiraz Viognier blend

Dark berries, plum, pepper and a hint of floral make this wine complex and rich. Silky soft tannins and a lingering smooth finish, simply outstanding!

They also grow and sell the best, biggest, juiciest cherries I have ever tasted and were cheaper than anywhere else in the valley. The owner is the winemaker, wine shop host, orchardist and very friendly guy. Definitely on our tour next year!
