Pamela's Weekly Wine Pick

Desert Hills 2010 Gamay Noir $19.90
Gamay Noir is a lighter style wine and Desert Hills Gamay is my favourite Gamay in the Valley because it is so rich in flavour. This Gamay is a dark inky colour and hosts abundant aromas of cherry, strawberry and toasty oak with just a hint of vanilla giving the wine that unexpected note of surprise. Lovely balance with soft silky tannins rounds out a smooth finish. A perfect partner with lighter foods such as lentil burgers, fish tacos, grilled chicken and it is also a great end of summer sipper!
Desert Hills Gamay does sell out quickly as it is one of their most popular wines. Order wine online @ www.deserthills.ca or visit the winery in Oliver. We did make a trip to the winery in August and absolutely every single one of their red wines was exceptional and the display of awards corroborates. The owner/winemaker is passionate about his wines & dogs, knowledgeable and the ultimate host!
